Dexter and The Moonrocks -

S̶a̶d̶ Support In Carolina"

Hi there! We are Dexter and the Moonrocks, a country/grunge band from Abilene, Texas. We formed a little under 3 years ago in a double wide trailer with nothing more than the idea that we wanted to make people feel better using our music

We are now fortunate enough to have a sizeable fanbase with just under a million followers on social media and over a half a million people who actively listen to our music (give or take a couple thousand). None of this would be possible without the support of the cities and people in the southeast

Our first ever tour was through the southeast. We hit cities southeastern cities including: Birmingham, Atlanta, Athens, Charlotte, Asheville, and Columbia, and they all made us feel at home. Their support of a small little band from West Texas was unyielding. It is because of the initial support of this region that we were able to quite our three blue collar jobs and one part-time coaching gig to pursue music full time. Without their support, we would not be the band we are today.

Additionally, the Carolinas have always held a special affection for us, as it was one of the first places we had sold out shows outside of Texas. We loved the Carolinas so much we even wrote a song called "Sad In Carolina" on our first tour there (hence the name of this fundraising campaign.) It currently sits atop our number one listened to song on Spotify and Apple Music and is making it's way up the alternative radio charts.

It is because of the love and kindness of this region that we have partnered with Team Rubicon to put the full weight and force of our name and project behind raising money for disaster relief in this region.

Click the link below and you’ll find stretch goals we have laid out for our fanbase and other donors for this project. These are tasks and promises we would love to fulfill every time we reach a donation milestone. All donations are welcome and we will work tirelessly to provide the most support we can. Thank you!

All sales of this exclusive “Sad In Carolina” will go directly back into this campaign as a full donation.

All royalties from our track “Sad In Carolina” will go directly toward the campaign and donated in full.
